Four years ago, Denis Law ran for Mayor of Renton and was elected on an extraordinary tidal wave of support from within our community. In these last four years as our Mayor, Denis has shown us that he puts his words into action.

In 2007, Denis assured the people of Renton that he would put Public Safety first. During the worst economy in decades, our city has still improved the level of service to the public, specifically with police. One criminal affects a lot of people. Denis has used proactive programs and creative methods to affect change and maximize police efforts, and truly impact the level of crime to make our community safer.

In 2007, Denis spoke to the oncoming financial crisis that all cities were bracing for. He has taken a business-like approach to the budget by prioritizing service that the citizens feel are most important. He is reducing costs wherever possible, pushing for the most efficient use of resources we already have, reducing our budget by 12% even as our population increased from 55,000 people to 90,927 people. Renton continues to provide the same quality services while maintaining fiscal responsibility by paying close attention to performance, productivity, citizen and employee morale, and a dedication to open communication.

In 2007, Denis addressed a growing problem of the lack of communication between the Mayor’s office and the city Council, the citizens, the city employees, and the local businesses. He has thrown open the lines of communication between his office and these groups, and has created a collaborative relationship between the city and the people it serves.

Denis is endorsed by all 7 City Council Members, and has earned the continued support of the community. He looks forward to continue serving Renton for the next 4 years. Contact us anytime with questions, and we look forward to another 4 years with Denis Law as our Mayor!

Contact us anytime with questions, and we look forward to an exciting year!

Sincerely,

Barbara Chadwick
